Recording Info:
Due to the fact that this is a mix compilation, most all of the songs featured have been both edited and mixed into other songs. Track #9 has been partially lost in the mix as the end of track #8, "Life Mirrors (opaque remix)" by Beatless fades out into it, and then at its end track #10, "Prolix" by IBID is mixed into it . The correct track time for this particular release is as appears above.
Credits:
"Legendary electronic music producer and influential video director Ben Stokes is DHS (Dimensional Holofonic Sound). DHS's very first single, the now classic "House of God" has been sampled, bootlegged and remixed to anthem status. As founder of H-Gun Productions, DHS producer, Ben Stokes has also directed music videos for Public Enemy, De La Soul, The Orb and Meat Beat Manifesto. Following is latest EP "Mind Control", DHS's new single `Radio Safe' is a selection from his upcoming full-length album landing in the spring of 2002 on Tino Corp Records. It's minimal tech-house, synth rhythms and acid-tinged breaks move while bleeping machines and beats morph over time."
"Tino Corp has charged San Fransisco and the world with some serious breakbeat wattage. The label was founded by Jack Dangers (from Meat Beat Manifesto) and Ben Stokes who have a long history of audio visual collaborations. Dedicated to showcasing volatile beats and sounds that are not available from any other source, it is also the main outlet for their partner's (an illusive Cuban drummer named Tino) own work. As CEO and principal artist, the prolific drummer contributed to launch the label with a series of instructional albums called Tino's Breaks, teaching a new style of drumming with every installment. Tino apparently resides in his native Cuba, but has made some rare appearances on U.S. soil to record material for the series of Tino's Breaks releases with Jack, Ben and studio mate Mike Powell."
"`Radio Safe' is now available on 12" vinyl."
