Pete Namlook collaborated with the incredible Turkish musician Burhan
Öçal whose roots lie in the classical music of his country. Besides
all traditional percussion instruments he also plays stringed instruments like
Ud, Tanbur and Saz. Sometimes he sings with his expressive voice on top or
recites medieval Turkish poetry. With his "Istanbul Oriental Ensemble" he just
won the "Deutschen Schallplattenpreis" and is currently working with Joe
Zawinul and the Prag Symphonic Orchestra. In collaboration with Pete Namlook a
new and very special combination of beatoriented deep ambient with powerful
Turkish music develops and forms a new style and spirit...
