"Elevator Music" is the subtitle of Rather Interesting's second release called Dots. Produced by Atom Heart, this CD takes you away to the drifting zones of R.I.'s vision of environmental music. Following the idea of Brian Eno's "Music For Airports", DOTS could be called it's transcription into the 90's. Mellow textures, slow motion basslines and morphing dimensions create an image compareable to a "zoom-in" into music. DOTS is not only background music but also shows structures and depth when listened to consciously. Like all Atom Heart releases that were dealing with the idea of enviornmental music, DOTS again shows a unique understanding of sound and structure. DOTS: hi-res textures, slow-morphs, laid back 20Hz.
