From: Astralwerks@cyberden.com Subject: SEEFEEL ON ASTRALWERKS Date: Tue, 25 Jan 1994 20:08:17 GMT ASTRALWERKS is proud to announce the addition of the London-based fourpiece SEEFEEL to it's roster. The band's debut album, Quique, has been liscensed from the U.K. label Too Pure, responsible for launching P.J. Harvey and Stereolab. Seefeel are currently enjoying massive critical acclaim in the U.K. and are Too Pure's biggest selling artist at this moment. They have attracted attention for their spectral guitar-based soundscapes which glide over trancy elements of house and dub. While recalling the Fripp/Eno collaborations of the '70s, no band is currently more relevant than than Seefeel as they are the bridge between the sonic guitar explorations of My Bloody Valentine and the ambient-house world of artists such as Irrestible Force and Future Sound of London. Quique will be released in April. This summer a commercial 12" will be made available containing Aphex Twin remixes of "Time To Find Me" and their own remix of "Plainsong". The band's two previous EPs, More Like Space and Pure, Impure will be coupled for a full length release in the late summer. The band will be touring the U.S. later this year.
