[From the Play It Again Sam website] DAVID MORLEY One of the longest-standing R & S/Apollo recording artists, David Morley (born and bred in England but living already for a long time in Belgium) has been of vital importance in the creative evolution of both labels. In the early days of techno he was responsible, together with label boss Renaat Vandepapeliere, for Brazil by Spectrum, one of the first classics in the genre. Over the years he released ground-breaking 12-inches such as Evolution on Apollo Records and The Shuttle EP on R & S and delivered outstanding remix work (a.o. on Golden Girls' Kinetic). His most recent venture is the 12-inch Too Good To Be Strange by Two Sandwiches Short Of A Lunchbox, a collaboration project of himself and Andie (Andrea Parker) of Inky Blacknuss. Currently finalising his debut album for Apollo (entitled Aquarium), David Morley is definitely on the verge of broader recognition. His music has matured over the years: filled with emotional content, it is clearly the work of a sensitive and multi-faceted artist. Morley's magic can also be experienced live - his show, which at various occasions culled rave reviews, should appeal to every amateur of hyper-ambient atmospheres.
