As the inner sleeves of his albums say: "You will find it a soothing escape from the stresses of life. You will use the album to unwind, to fall asleep and to concentrate on creative work." Take note that the albums that Tony produces are not for the purposes of entertainment ie you are not supposed to analyse it's musical content, but instead USE the music as a source for relaxation. As many of the titles suggest, Tony uses nature & wildlife as a source for his music, and he uses these sounds together with his synthesizers to create his music (Tony himself actually lives in an area surrounded in rainforest). Common instruments he uses are piano and panflute (or a similar variation). All his music is created in his studio at home in full digital stereo. One of his albums, Mariner, has won awards. Accompanied by Tony's CDs are pictures and poems by Steve Parish. The photos accompanying each CD are in the same theme as the CD (for example, pictures of rainforests & its inhabitants would accompany the 'Rainforest Magic' CD) while the poems generally revolve around the title of the particular track. All in all, I have found that Tony's aims of creating music for relaxation are well met. In addition to this I have also found his music more effective and more pleasurable to listen to then other artists of the same genre. The availability of Tony's CDs outside of Australia may be very low due to him not being signed up by a major company. You may try and write to: Steve Parish Publishing Pty. Ltd. P.O. Box 361 Paddington Queensland, Australia 4064 The standard charge for a CD is A$25.95
