If you've already submitted a track and you haven't heard back from us yet, you will be hearing back from us, don't worry. Even if you think your work isn't good enough to go on the cd, please submit! I've been very pleased with the submissions we've gotten so far. We are looking for new talent to showcase on the cd as well as slightly more established folks. If you need help with submitting tracks, feel free to drop me a line...I can probably help you. If I can't then the rest of the list or skinner most certainly can. Plus, I will give feedback on your track(s) if you so desire. I'm sure skinner would as well. In short, I am encouraging anyone with a budding interest in producing music to seasoned semi-pros. thank you for your time, and I hope to hear from you. Joe Pitassi From Skinner: Of the 183 memebers on the list right now, some of you can in the back of your minds see a memorey of the DSL cd. Well this never reached an end due to the fact that my life became complex :( Anyhoo. I suckerd a victim, er I mean I found a friend who is willing to restart the project and actualy follow through on this unlike myself. Joseph Pitassi is now in charge. However were going to try this from ground zero again. Since many of the people invloved last time are gone of the list. ok so what is the DSL CD? DSL = Dark Step List (duh) But it has a cute refernce to xDSL data lines. Cute name since this is a cyberworld.... anhyhoo. What is the DSL CD? Its a compilation of toons of members of the list. Toons will be selected by Mr Pitassi, Myself and a few other people on the list. How do we choose? mostly based on quality, and does it represent the lists ideals of "darkstep" music. We are looking for well produced tracks. How do you get one? well we will be selling them for production cost. CD-R + Cover + Shipping. But what if I have a CD-R and a Fast connection cant I d/l it? Yes you can. We will have the artwork and the cda's and tracklist online for those who do have the bandwidth and the faclities to burn them. So I produce how do I get you the music. Well email Joe. joseph_pitassi@brown.edu He will tell you what to do. He also will tell you what acceptiable formats he will take. If there is somone who has a format that Joe can't read I have in my studio mutiple devices and can convert media for him. We also accept MP3's but NO LESS then 128 bit please. When submitting a track: send the information as such Track Name Porduction Name: Your Real Name: Email: Website: Contact #: Questions? Comments? Please discuss on the list for all to see this way others with the same question can find the answer. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: darkstep-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: darkstep-help@hyperreal.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: darkstep-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: darkstep-help@hyperreal.org From darkstep-return-955-archive-darkstep=hyperreal.org@hyperreal.org Fri Feb 02 14:07:20 2001 Return-Path: Delivered-To: archive-darkstep@hyperreal.org Received: (qmail 29027 invoked by uid 250); 2 Feb 2001 14:07:19 -0000 Mailing-List: contact darkstep-help@hyperreal.org; run by ezmlm Precedence: bulk X-No-Archive: yes list-help: list-unsubscribe: list-post: Delivered-To: mailing list darkstep@hyperreal.org Received: (qmail 29016 invoked from network); 2 Feb 2001 14:07:18 -0000 Message-ID: <3A7ABECB.3CB3ECC7@blurreddot.com> Date: Fri, 02 Feb 2001 15:06:03 +0100 From: Pat Reply-To: pat@pitchadj.com Organization: http://pitchadjust.com/ X-Mailer: Mozilla 4.75 [en] (Win98; U) X-Accept-Language: en MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Subject: [darkstep] tracks needed Hello people, Pitch Adjust is looking for tracks. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: darkstep-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: darkstep-help@hyperreal.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: darkstep-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: darkstep-help@hyperreal.org From darkstep-return-972-archive-darkstep=hyperreal.org@hyperreal.org Tue Feb 13 23:33:38 2001 Return-Path: Delivered-To: archive-darkstep@hyperreal.org Received: (qmail 699 invoked by uid 250); 13 Feb 2001 23:33:34 -0000 Mailing-List: contact darkstep-help@hyperreal.org; run by ezmlm Precedence: bulk X-No-Archive: yes list-help: list-unsubscribe: list-post: Delivered-To: mailing list darkstep@hyperreal.org Received: (qmail 575 invoked from network); 13 Feb 2001 23:33:31 -0000 Message-ID: <3A89C73F.EA9C1775@direct.ca> Date: Tue, 13 Feb 2001 15:46:07 -0800 From: colin Organization: http://mediacore.org X-Mailer: Mozilla 4.74 [en] (Win98; U) X-Accept-Language: en MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Bcc: Subject: [darkstep] no HARD SCIENCE tonight (vancouver) due to unforeseen circumstance HARD SCIENCE will not be happening tonight..no musical events will be happening at The House of Slack (Vancouver, Canada) in the near future after Saturday night's Hedonistic Dilations shutdown (noise complaint, threat of sound system confiscation) -- colin 2/27: http://instanttheatre.com/noise.html http://mediacore.org/clone - 604.682.3269/ext.3249 23-1195 davie/ vancouver bc/ v6b 1n3/ canada --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: darkstep-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: darkstep-help@hyperreal.org From darkstep-return-973-archive-darkstep=hyperreal.org@hyperreal.org Wed Feb 14 20:30:22 2001 Return-Path: Delivered-To: archive-darkstep@hyperreal.org Received: (qmail 4245 invoked by uid 250); 14 Feb 2001 20:30:21 -0000 Mailing-List: contact darkstep-help@hyperreal.org; run by ezmlm Precedence: bulk X-No-Archive: yes list-help: list-unsubscribe: list-post: Delivered-To: mailing list darkstep@hyperreal.org Received: (qmail 4204 invoked from network); 14 Feb 2001 20:30:18 -0000 Message-ID: <20010214203018.21828.qmail@web2902.mail.yahoo.com> Date: Wed, 14 Feb 2001 12:30:18 -0800 (PST) From: rando To: bostonparties@onelist.com, vibecommunity@egroups.com, junglist@us-jungle.com, bostonscene@egroups.com, darkstep@hyperreal.org, phuturisticbluez@egroups.com, bluebookproject@egroups.com MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Subject: [darkstep] Elements - drum&bass thursdays - Piekoz, simplepleazures & Cabalistic Minds, Dublab Elements drum&bass thursdays since jan '99 =========================================================== This Thursday, Old boston fav, dave Piekoz will be rocking the closing set after Cabalistic Minds from DC drops by for a set while he is town! Well, this looks awesome (I'm pretty psyched to hit WMC), but does anybody know where I can find other lineups as well? The only other one I've seen was the "I Love Music" one or whatever. Also, who else is going to be there? I'm heading down and would like to hook up with some people if possible. -- :: atomly :: atomly@atomly.com | atomly@atdot.org | atomly@curiousnetworks.com http://www.atomly.com | http://www.mp3.com/atomly --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: darkstep-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: darkstep-help@hyperreal.org From darkstep-return-977-archive-darkstep=hyperreal.org@hyperreal.org Thu Feb 15 17:24:46 2001 Return-Path: Delivered-To: archive-darkstep@hyperreal.org Received: (qmail 5189 invoked by uid 250); 15 Feb 2001 17:24:44 -0000 Mailing-List: contact darkstep-help@hyperreal.org; run by ezmlm Precedence: bulk X-No-Archive: yes list-help: list-unsubscribe: list-post: Delivered-To: mailing list darkstep@hyperreal.org Received: (qmail 5135 invoked from network); 15 Feb 2001 17:24:43 -0000 User-Agent: Microsoft-Outlook-Express-Macintosh-Edition/5.02.2022 Date: Thu, 15 Feb 2001 12:21:38 -0800 From: jesper To: Message-ID: In-Reply-To: <20010215111913.B3073@atomly.com> Mime-version: 1.0 Content-type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit Subject: Re: [darkstep] wmc 2001 dNb event listings >> If you know of a party at WMC 2001 (w/dNb) that is not listed please email >> me personally and I will add all the info to our pages. > > Well, this looks awesome (I'm pretty psyched to hit WMC), but does > anybody know where I can find other lineups as well? --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: darkstep-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: darkstep-help@hyperreal.org --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: darkstep-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: darkstep-help@hyperreal.org From darkstep-return-986-archive-darkstep=hyperreal.org@hyperreal.org Mon Feb 19 22:51:53 2001 Return-Path: Delivered-To: archive-darkstep@hyperreal.org Received: (qmail 23790 invoked by uid 250); 19 Feb 2001 22:51:51 -0000 Mailing-List: contact darkstep-help@hyperreal.org; run by ezmlm Precedence: bulk X-No-Archive: yes list-help: list-unsubscribe: list-post: Delivered-To: mailing list darkstep@hyperreal.org Received: (qmail 23766 invoked from network); 19 Feb 2001 22:51:50 -0000 Message-ID: <3A91A684.1DD923C7@direct.ca> Date: Mon, 19 Feb 2001 15:04:36 -0800 From: colin Organization: http://mediacore.org X-Mailer: Mozilla 4.74 [en] (Win98; U) X-Accept-Language: en MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit Bcc: Subject: [darkstep] fwd: BERLIN - IOCUR events "peter (bowman@web.de)" wrote: > > BERLIN 16.02.2001. > IOCUR e.V. > [organization for bizarre art and music] > > 24.02.
