hey all,
So i got this Atom Heart related disc in a trade the other day, and
thought i'd post about it since i've never heard about it and i
didn't see it on any of the Uwe disco-graphies i've seen around.
It's called Sieg Uber Die Sonne "1 Infinite Remixe" from Sony
Germany. Date says 1997. Anyway, tracklisting is this:
1: pre-human body (atom heart st go party remix) 5:52
2: mogul (sensorama remix) 6:12
3: mode (sieg ueber die sonne remix) 11:10
4: mogul (sun electric +5v remix) 5:25
5: mogul (ricardo villalobos remix) 13:30
6: mogul (sun electric -5v remix) 5:48
The disc starts off with a hilarious sample of someone having a
house party with people getting down to superfunky vibes, when all
the sudden the music cuts out and everyone goes "ooohh!!" The first
track has some electrified synthfunk vocals.
Anyone have more info on this one?

Haven't listened to it in ages however I can describe it as a cool-funky-

Yeah, I've since learned that there are 2 full-lengths associated
with the single i have. Sieg Uber Die Sonne and 1 to Infinite.
Anyone have leads on either of 'em (preferably 1 to Infinite) cos
this stuff Kicks Ass!? I think Master Heart is using a Talkbox on

Hello,
Just wanted to post about the radio show which will air here in
Chicago on WNUR 89.3 tonight (and every Friday night this summer)
from 1am to 2 am (that's Central time, technically it's eeeaarly
tomorrow morning). As stated before, the show will focus on a
different form of ambient:
dub/house/breaks/urban/lounge/jazz/world/trance/drone/etc
Also, this show will be broadcast live via RealAudio, so if you
aren't near Chicago you can still listen if you're so inclined.
The url for the RealAudio is: www.wnur.org/live.ram
Last week's show was mostly trance-related, but I have the feeling
we'll be doing another one of those. Don't know what tonight will
be yet. Ok then, thanks!

I've got a brand-new copy of this on CD if anyone is interested in

I doubt if Amoeba Records paid 15$ plus postage for it. I did. I guess
that leaves me asking if everyone should not *have* to pay "x" for Orange,
Lisa Carbon Trio or whatever else because "y" has it for that? Conversely,
can I jack up what I want for "z" because I saw it for "x" in the store?
And what if Amoeba is 2000 miles away? Not meaning to get cantankerous
with you, but what you've just posted is a non-sequitor. I'm dumping my
collection because I have no income right now. Can't see how what you saw
something somewhere *should* have anything to do with what I sell/sold
(past tense...and apparently - from the response I got - not horribly
overpriced) Fonosandwich for. Or maybe you're offering (for all of those
who responded too late, take note) to run to Amoeba, buy 'em all up and
ship 'em out for 3$ less?

Ok, just a thought:
I'm thinking Atom Heart has become the modern electronic version of
what Zappa was way back when. Both artists are/were prolific by
most standards, both covered many musical styles as parodies and in
seriousness, both fused seemingly "mutually exclusive" genres, each
of them have a certain measure of humor involved in their works,
both reference other musicians in their song titles, both own(ed)
synclaviers (heheh), and i'm sure there could be plenty other
noteworthy similarities.
