Uwe told me at Atonal that it won't be funny at all and
it'll sound somehow "analytical".

This was supposed to come out today, but I haven't heard any word yet.
Anyone know what's up with it? If it was released, where can I find it? I
called Isolation Tank yesterday and they don't have any yet - nor did they
have any information. I just emailed IsoTank (just for good measure -
sometimes the lackies on the phone are clueless) and Dig. Underground -
waiting on a reply. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hm. The only Redeye stuff I've heard are the tracks on some of the
Delirium label compilations. Not like Atom Heart at all unless the
comparison is made to his earlier techno output. Is there newer stuff?

Get _Veiculo_ by To Rococo Rot. Definitely parallels Uwe's current
works. Oh, and they're German so that may explain the similar sound(?).

Hi all,

Has anyone taken track #22 from +N Built and sped it way up? There's a
large chunk of this song that sounds distinctly like someone speaking, only

Subject: (atom) auction of MU on Ebay

The auction that Rioux's was doing of Masters of Psychedelic Ambience on
Ebay has ended, with the winning bid being $56.00.

What is sort of interesting is the bidding history, which you can see at:

http://cgi3.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=72463542

The incremental dollar amounts of the bids went from 7, to 10, to 15, to 16
(all pretty normal so far), then suddenly from 16 to 55 dollars in one bid,
and then there was one final bid bringing it to 56 dollars, where it stayed
for several days, until the auction expired.

Interesting too that the person who really upped the ante from 16 to 55 did
not respond when it was upped by one more measley dollar to 56.

Not sure what, if anything, it means, except that I'm not holding my breath
on finding a copy of MU any time soon.

Heh, good point, although I was hoping familiarity with the Overflow EP and
Cloned LP would convey the style I was trying to communicate... I guess
egyptian lover's stuff is closer to what I mean, but since egyptian lover
doesn't feel that experimental today (as great as it was), it isn't what I
would normally use in one of my mixes. Venn

As much as I know: No.

Most single releases on NTone are vinyl only. But i guess that some (all?)
of the single tracks will be also on the album.

BTW, I just joint the list so I do not know what discussion you had

well, i hate to be the one to say it, but i find the flanger 12-inch a
little bit nauseating. too much of the hyperactive bass and pitterypattery
rhythms i associate with the post-squarepusher Cult Of The Overzealous
(paradinas, aphex, animals on wheels, etc). i'm hoping the full-length will
show a little more restraint. those two together is still just such an
incredibly tantalizing prospect, but not here. not like this...

I don't know of any, but I'd like to be a part of one if it existed. Or,
maybe we should make one? I know of one person who does cd-r'ing of AH,
but I can't mention his name because he may not want to be listed.

> I don't own a burner, but I think we should (privately)

Yeah, I'm getting a burner soon, hopefully.

> just say "fuck it, let's start trading rare stuff"
> Besides we're all Uwe fanaticos, why we making bank off each other (i.e.

Well, my philosophy is this: Non-rare albums that are relatively easy to
find shouldn't *ever* be copied (mp3, cd-r or otherwise) unless they're
copied solely to introduce someone to a new band (with the intention of
that person later buying an album themself).

But as far as rare, out of print items are concerned I think it's okay
simply for the fact that it's impossible to get. If the artists/label are
not providing the material then it should be copied.

On the opposite hand, I prefer to buy the albums and even spend exobitant
amounts sometimes, but I feel it's justified if I really enjoy the
material. I love the visceral feeling of owning the album, but if that's
impossible, then I at least want a copy of it (cd-r).

I have a few rarities and I'm willing copy them for other things I don't
have. But right now I can't since i'm without a cd burner. I will notify
the list in the future (month or two) when I get one and perhaps we can
start up an "Atom Heart cd-r ring" and only copy albums for each other in
very limited amounts (and no profit making, only sell them for cost of: cd
media, shipping and a slight fee for time spent).

How does this sound?

How many Lisa Carbon CD's are there?

I was under the impression that there was just:

"Trio De Janeiro" (two versions)
"Polyester"
"Stereo Cocktail"

Is there an album called "Experimental Post Techno Swing"?

Thanks!

As far as I know the tracks on Experimental are mostly the same as those on
Stereo Cocktail.

Exactly the same tracks, different sequence, different label, different
artwork. The "Experimental..." release was a domestic U.S. release on
Sonic/Instinct, which I'm sure now is out of print.

I found this:

Hiroshima - "Ongaku" CD

at a european record store, anyone know if it's any relation to Atom Heart?
I vaguelly recall an "Ongaku" being an Atom Heart side project. Thanks.

Guess so. The sleeve lists 9 songs, but the disc has 10. Assuming the
bonus is the final track on the CD, it's about 2 minutes of simple music
followed by about 1 minute of what sounds like a message on an answering
machine in Spanish.
