Mididexterous is a glove-based controller for musical expression.

Sound can be manipulated via finger and wrist movements. The glove communicates to a central base which converts movement into MIDI controller messages, which is then sent to whatever audio program you want to control. For live demonstrations of the mididexterous, a software synthesizer was created in max/msp.

A paper describing how the Mididexterous works will be posted shortly, as well as instructions on how to build your own.

The Mididexterous has been presented at the following:

Tae Hong Park and Bonnie Barrilleaux.
