Advent Millennium:
Count down to the Year 2000 with the unique War Child calendar

Bench in Autumn (Fall), Kyoto

"The times, they are a-changin'," sang Brian Eno. Or at least, he would have if he'd been Bob Dylan. Celebrate the changin' times and the approach of the third millennium with Advent Millennium, War Child's unique countdown calendar. Launched by Brian Eno, Advent Millennium divides the thousand days into 20 pages of 50 days each, counting down from Day 1000 (April 6th 1997) to Day 1 (31st December 1999). On January 1st 1998 there will be 730 days until the year 2000; by buying this calendar now, you get two years' worth of days for the price of one -- and you can say goodbye to "Forgotten to buy a calendar" misery come January 1st 1999!

Each block of days is illustrated with a haunting and timeless photograph by the late Ernst Haas: a leaf floating in water, a cityscape at night, the sun breaking through clouds. The EnoWeb thanks those who generously permitted us to display these sample images from the calendar.

Advent Millennium costs just £15 (payable by cheque or credit card), and all proceeds go to War Child, the charity which works with child victims of war. See the ordering information below to find out how you can obtain your copy.

Many of War Child's supporters in the worlds of music, fashion, sport and TV have kindly agreed to autograph some of the calendars. These signed calendars have been mixed in with the others, so anyone buying the calendar in the shops or via mail order has a good chance of acquiring one signed by Paul & Linda McCartney, The Pet Shop Boys, Will Carling, U2, Peter Gabriel, Brian Eno and Kerry Fox, among others.
