The reason you'd go here is for the selection...and to talk to
Carlos, SKR's on site afficianado who is very helpful and probably knows more than you
(but doesn't act like he thinks so). He'll also tell you where to go and get what he
doesn't have if you ask. Ann Arbor is a nice place as well.
The Annex is where SKR sells all of the used, indie and techno/electronica/idm stuff.

This is not your average "chain store". This particular
one was designated to cater to the more offbeat and discerning crowd from the inception.
They always have a good IDM, Industrial, and oddball selection. Vince does all of the
import ordering; he usually works M-F/ 10-6. You'll see him at the back counter
usually...he's the man to ask. Mark can help you with that industrial edge. Andy is pretty
knowledgable in the electronica ssection also. The staff in general is nice and can be of
help.

The home for the most authoritative detroit mail order on the
planet also has a walk-in location "Somewhere In Detroit". Call the Drexciyan
Traffic Controller X102 and make an appointment and then stop on down to see where the
music distribution originates. Amazing selection including the entire back catalogs of
labels such as UR, Direct Beat, 430 West, Fragil, Generator, Go Girl, KMS, Matrix, MPlant,
Maurizio, BC, CR, MEtroplex, Planet E -- well, you get the picture. Prices that can't be
beat and a friendly vibe.

"The Source" when you're in Detroit. Mike Huckaby and the
crew in "The Dance Room" will have it, especially if it's from the Motor City.
Incredible Vinyl selection, sorted by label. 2 Tables for pre-listening, although they can
get backed up sometimes. Pretty good CD selection, with broad Detroit and comps variety.
Some DJ gear and rave gear.
